Alexandre Muller vs Richard Gasquet Head-to-Head, Preview, Stats & Pick:

Head To Head Muller Leads 1-0.

[WC] Alexandre Muller from France and [WC] Richard Gasquet, also from France, have faced each other before, with Muller leading their head-to-head record 1-0. Their first meeting took place in Marrakech on clay, with Muller winning in straight sets, 6-4 6-4. They also faced each other in Aix-en-Provence, where Muller once again emerged victorious with a score of 6-2 6-4.

Alexandre Muller, 27 years old and currently ranked World No. 109, has steadily climbed the rankings throughout his career. He broke into the top 500 in 2016, the top 250 in 2019, and reached the top 100 in April 2023. In January 2024, he achieved his career-high ranking of No. 71. In the same year, he reached the quarterfinals in Auckland and made his first ATP Tour final in Lyon. His biggest win came in 2023 when he defeated the 21st ranked player, Musetti, and reached the final in Marrakech, marking his debut in the top 100. Muller also made his tour-level debut as a wildcard in the 2017 Roland Garros and won his first tour-level match as a lucky loser in the 2021 Australian Open.

With a record of 129-118 in Challenger tournaments, including 2 final appearances, Muller secured his first title in 2022 at Blois, where he saved a match point in the first round. Tennis has been a part of Muller’s life since his childhood. He had a tennis court at home, started playing with his dad at the age of 6, and even though he initially excelled in football, he eventually chose tennis as his main sport.

Recently, Muller had a remarkable performance at the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome, reaching the fourth round and defeating three consecutive top 50 players. As a result, he will be ranked in the top 100 again when the rankings are updated on Monday, marking his return to the top since January 2024.

On the other side, Richard Gasquet, 37 years old and currently ranked World No. 113, had a successful career as a junior player. He achieved his career-high ranking of No. 7 in 2007 and spent four seasons in the top 10 overall. Gasquet has defeated top-5 players in five-set matches, reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2007, the US Open in 2013, and Wimbledon again in 2015. He has also won 16 titles, qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in 2007 and 2013, and reached the finals of ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in Hamburg (2005), Toronto (2006 and 2012).

Gasquet made a name for himself early in his career by winning his ATP Tour debut as a 15-year-old in Monte Carlo, defeating Squillari. He achieved his biggest career win at the same tournament in 2005 when he defeated the world No. 1, Federer. In 2018, Gasquet celebrated his 500th career win at the Monte Carlo tournament by defeating M. Zverev. He still holds the record as the youngest match winner since the start of the ATP Tour in 1990, and his overall win count of 604 is the highest among French players in the Open Era. Additionally, Gasquet is one of only four active players on the ATP Tour to have surpassed the milestone of 600 wins.

Gasquet recently reached a significant milestone, becoming the fourth active player to reach 1000 tour-level matches played at the ATP Masters 1000 in Madrid, following Djokovic, Nadal, and Verdasco. Currently, Gasquet is set to play his 1001st match at the event and is seeking his first victory since 2021.
