David Ferrer looks likely to play his last ever singles match on Wednesday evening when he plays Alexander Zverev in the night session in Madrid. Ferrer actually has an admirable record against the German, going 3-4 with a win as mostly recently as March in Miami. However, the defending champion is in dire need of a win but will need to fight hard against an opponent who has going to have all the love of the crowd on Wednesday night. “It’s a difficult match ahead of me. I don’t think about that. I’m trying to enjoy the moment I have right now… I want to be with my family and try to enjoy as much as possible the time that I have to play in this centre court.
