Juan Martin Del Potro seeks to become the eighth man to win the Sunshine Double when he kicks off his Miami Open tournament against Robin Haase on Friday night. The Miami-Indian Wells sweep was last completed by Roger Federer last year while Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Novak Djokovic are some of the others to have won both back-to-back. Check out the Del Potro vs Haase H2H Haase, currently 0-4 against Del Potro, will be hoping to build on his season so far. The Dutchman already has three quarter finals to his name including at his home tournament in Rotterdam, being one of the few players to win a set off Roger Federer this year. He won his Miami opener in three sets against Yuichi Sugita, 6-4 3-6 6-1. With the matches racking up over the past few months, Del Potro will be welcome for the rest that sees him play his first match on Friday after winning the Indian Wells title last Sunday.  “Well, I’m doing treatments every day, every time, twice a day. I hit the ball already yesterday for 40 minutes. I will practice this afternoon. But that’s it. Then I need to do treatments to recover my legs, my back, my wrist, and face all my body to be 100% on Friday.” he said, giving an insight into his recovery routine before the tournament. Despite his impressive form bringing him to the verge of the Top 5, Del Potro isn’t getting carried away. “I always say the ranking number doesn’t change or doesn’t mean too much to me. I was No. 1000 few years ago, and now I’m No. 6. I have good chances to keep growing, growing up, but I’m not thinking about that. I’m enjoying to play tennis again.” he said pre-tournament. With a lengthy winning streak going, Del Potro is definitely one of the favourites to win overall especially with his proven ability to beat Roger Federer in the biggest matches. While the overall head to head is lopsided at 7-18, he is now 4-2 against the Swiss when they play in finals. Prediction – Juan Martin Del Potro in straight sets
