The Canadian-Belarussian pair Daniel Nestor and Max Mirnyi reached the Shanghai Masters final after they defeated the Indians Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi 6-1, 6-4 in the semis.
The Indians were not able to convert any break points and although the second set was a lot tighter than the first, one break of serve for Nestor and Mirnyi was enough to secure the victory.
Despite losing in the semifinal, Bhupathi-Paes qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London this year.
In the other semifinal, Michael Llodra of France and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia defeated the Poles Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski 6-2, 7-6 (5).
