Former world no.1 Serena Williams is set to play at the Brisbane International that will take place from Jan 1-8th 2012.
This tournament is considered amongst players as a good warm up for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year.
Besides the US Open finalist Williams, there will be other top class players in the draw. The US Open winner Samantha Stosur, Maria Sharapova, Kim Clisters and Ana Ivanovic will play in Brisbane.
