Pospisil Sock

In one of the most surprising results of this year’s Championships, youngsters Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock toppled legendary duo Mike and Bob Bryan to earn their first ever Grand Slam title.

The contest was a dramatic affair that played out over five grueling sets before Sock closed out the affair with a winner down the line to break serve and win the match 7-6(5) 6-7(3), 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.

The Canadian-American duo won the title after playing their first major championships together, a feat that has not been accomplished since Lleyton Hewitt and Max Mirnyi did so at the US Open fourteen years ago. They defeated arguably the greatest doubles pairing in the history of men’s tennis, as the Bryans were riding a 16-match win streak at Wimbledon, dating back to the 2012 London Olympics.
