The French Tennis Federation has chosen to play their upcoming Davis Cup semi-final tie against Czech Republic at Roland Garros – the location of the French Open.

Roland Garros has hosted several Davis Cup matches, the last one in 2002 and was initially built for the 1928 Davis Cup final between France and the United States.

Team captain Arnaud Clement asked for the best-of-five series on Sept. 12-14 to be played at the 15,000-capacity centre court in Paris.

The Czechs team has been dominant at this tournament, having won the last two consecutive Davis Cup titles. This will be the 15th time the two teams have met, with each country winning seven times.
