Roger Federer Confirms Participation in Davis Cup Tie Against Kazakhstan

17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer surprised many Swiss fans last week when he decided to join his fellow countrymen as a last second addition to their team in a tie against Serbia. The Swiss team would later dominate the tie, jumping to a 3-0 lead before the third day of action to reach the quarter-final stage.

While it was unclear whether Federer would take part in the April quarter-final tie against Kazakhstan, it now appears that he is interested in continuing the year with his teammates, with the hopes of finally lifting that elusive Davis Cup trophy.

The 32-year-old confirmed his participation at the April tie on his official twitter account earlier today:
