Tournament officials have revealed that Czech No. 2 Radek Stepanek has officially withdrawn from the Zagreb Open ahead of his first match at the event. Stepanek cited a right foot injury as the reason behind his withdrawal.
Lucky loser Daniel Evans will replace Stepanek in his main draw. The world No. 147 lost in the qualifying round to Germany’s Bjorn Phau 6-3, 6-4 but now has a second opportunity to make an impact in the main draw on Wednesday, when he faces Czech Republic’s Jan Hajek.
Unfortunately, Radek Stepanek had to withdraw from the tournament due to a right foot injury. Lucky loser Daniel Evans will replace him.
