Australian No. 2 Casey Dellacqua rallied in her finals match against third seed Arina Rodionova to win 5-7 6-1 6-0 on Sunday morning.  The 28-year-old was shaky in the opening set and suffered a mental lapse, which cost her a break of serve and evidently the set. She would recover magnificently ahead of the second set, only allowing Rodionova one game in the remainder of the match.

The world no. 141 will be making her 11th appearance in Melbourne, with her best showing coming back in 2008 when she reached defeated Karin Knapp, Patty Schnyder and Amelie Mauresmo to reach the last 16 of the Australian Open. She also reached her highest season-end ranking of 55 that season.

The men’s wildcard final between former Wimbledon junior runner-up Ben Mitchell and  Jordan Thompson is set to take place on Sunday afternoon.
