ATP FINALS 2012 LONDON LIVE HERE: Federer vs Djokovic Live ATP World Tour Finals 2012

Federer – Djokovic 6-0  7-6 (7)

9-7 SET AND MATCH FEDERER! The Swiss legend wins his 5th Cincinnati title and his 21st Masters title alltogether. Superb performance from Federer, who clearly likes these courts and the set up here at the Western & Southern Open

6-6 Djoko holds his nerve and saves the first matchpoint, one more serve for him

6-5 A championship point for Federer

4-4 Both players drop one serve each, Djoko has got one more serve to go

3-3 A mini break for Nole and we are back on track here! Change of ends under the sweltering Cincy sun

3-2 Two unforced errors from the Swiss and Djoko reduces the lead

3-0 One mini break for Roger and he takes a crucial lead at the very beginning of it. Holds both his serves

6-0  6-6 Federer holds to 15 and sets up a ‘breaker’. Novak has got to take this one if he wants to remain in today’s match.

6-0  5-6 The Serb is just one game away to force a decider. Wrappes up his service game with two winners as he is starting to show some flashes of his very best form

6-0  5-5 Confident hold to 15 for the Fed Express after just and hour of play here in Cincinnati. We haven’t really seen any longer rallies yet, which just shows that the surface is quite fast and with both players trying to shorter the point

6-0  4-5 Nole’s first serve percentage has risen to 65% in the second set (up from 50% in the first). No break point opportunities yet, we might be witnessing a tiebreak shortly. But first things first, Federer to serve to stay in the set.

6-0  4-4 Roger recovers from 15-30 to level the score. Pressure is back on Djoko, it is a must hold service game for him right now. In the past, he has come back four times against Fed after dropping the first set..

6-0  3-4 After 47 minutes of play, the second set is still on serve. Crowd definitely starting to enjoy it a bit more and many would be hoping for a decider, but we shall see what Fed has got to say to it…Djoko has hit 20% of his groundstrokes from inside the baseline, Fed 40%. That also shows who’s been the more agressive out of the two players so far.

6-0 3-3 Federer trying to come up to the next, forcing Djoko to hit passing shots. His net play is simply outstanding, can pull off literally any volley you like. His stats at the net – 8 out of 9 points won

6-0  2-3 Djokovic definitely stepped up his game, coming up with a lot more attacking groundstrokes. No break points yet in the first five games of the set

6-0  2-2 Set back on track, no signs of weakness from Federer on his serve until now. Neither of the players’ coaches are here. Paul Annacone and Marian Vajda missing from the players box

6-0  1-2 Novak takes a lead after a bit more solid game. Still no expressions from him though, which is a bit strange..When will we see the first fist pump from the Serb?

6-0  1-1 Novak struggles to get some lenght on the ball, Federer holds to 30. The Swiss has only dropped 5 points on his serve in this match

6-0  0-1 A hold for Djokovic, a lot better start for the Serb. He needs to gain some confidence right now

6-0 SET FEDERER! Roger wraps up the first set in just 20 minutes. 13 winners and only 4 unforced errors secure him the lead in the match

5-0 BREAK! Roger  punishes every shorter ball, takes Djoko’s serve for the third time in a row! This is surely not the way the Serb envisaged the start of this match. The fairly fast surface seems to favour the Swiss a lot more and he will be serving for the set

4-0 Federer is in his own world right now. Fires 3 aces and the Serb can’t do anything but shake his head. Only 5 points won by Djokovic so far

3-0 BREAK! Djokovic struggles with serve, produces two more double faults and Federer is in full charge of this set. The Serb will need to regroup quickly..

2-0 Fed consolidates the break, looks to be more agressive than Djoko right now. 2 aces and 2 winners on the way help him to wrap up the game

1-0 BREAK! Djoko starts a bit slowly and after serving a double fault and coming up with one forehand unforced error, the Swiss maestro takes the lead

Djokovic to serve…

Will Federer win his 5th title here or are we going to witness a back to back title from Djokovic after he won the Toronto Masters last week? Last player to have done the double was Andy Roddick in 2003.

Another hot and humid day at the Western & Souther Open in Cincy. Players should be entering the center court shortly..

Live Commentary of the 2012 Cincinnati Masters final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic will commence here soon..

Federer has got 5 titles YTD, with Djoko having won 3 so far. They have met once here in Cincinnati, Fed beating Nole in straight sets 6-1  7-5 in the 2009 final. The Swiss managed to break the Serb 4 times and won 84% of his first serve points. Can he repeat it again or will Djokovic come out victorious at the end of today’s final?

Neither of the two players has dropped a set throughout this year’s tournament, Federer beating his countryman Stanislas Wawrinka in yesterday’s semis to book his place in today’s final. Djokovic overcame Argentine Juan Martin del Potro and will try to win his second Masters title in a row after prevailing at last week’s Rogers Cup in Toronto.

Federer leads the head to head with 15-12, having won the last encounter against the Serb in this year’s Wimbledon semifinal.
