Ramos to play Andreev in Casablanca semis

The 7th seed Albert Ramos of Spain beat the Frenchman Jeremy Chardy 6-3  6-4 to make it to the Grand Prix Hassan II Casablanca Tennis Tournament semis.

Chardy was the one who beat the no.1 seed Florian Mayer the day before, but he couldn’t carry the momentum into today’s match.

Ramos will now play Igor Andreev of Russia in tomorrow’s semifinal.

Andreev overcame antoher Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, defeating him in straight sets 6-4  6-2.

In the third quarterfinal of the day, Italy’s Flavio Cipolla booked his place in the last four as he eliminated Benoit Paire of France 6-3  6-4.

Cipolla’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between two Spaniards, the 3rd seed Pablo Andujar and Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol.
