Last year’s runner up Milos Raonic of Canada will have a chance to get his hands on the Memphis trophy as he defeated the German Benjamin Becker in the semis, winning 6-4 6-4.
He will face Jurgen Melzer of Austria in the final, who defeated Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic 6-4 3-6 6-3.
Raonic lost last year’s final to Roddick in three sets, but the Canadian has been on top form this year, with a match record 15-1.
The biggest weapon for Raonic proved to be once again his serve and once he broke the German to go up 5-4 in the first set, it was only a formality to serve it out.
The second set started off with an early break for the Canadian and as Becker never really found a way to harm Raonic on his serve, the match was quickly over.
