Hewitt pulls out of US Open

After losing at the Winston-Salem Open to Blaz Kavcic, former world no. 1 and 2001 US Open champion Lleyton Hewitt decided to pull out of this years US Open due to an ongoing foot injury.

He has been having problems with his foot since he had surgery on it this March. Although the Australian is determined to play on, this injury has been a huge setback for him this year.
