NEW YORK (AP) — Top American Mardy Fish earned his third consecutive straight-set victory at the U.S. Open, needing a pair of tiebreakers to beat Kevin Anderson and advance to the round of 16.
American No. 1 Mardy Fish moved into the second week of the US Open without the loss of a set, overcoming South Africa’s Kevin Anderson 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(4) in the third round on Saturday in New York.
