Ehhhh I consider going to Ostrava challenger... Hope there won't be much withdrawals... especially one withdrawal, that's what I mean. Hope my Roman Law exam in May won't be too bothering and I'll manage to go.
so sick of love songs.

Masson is not officially OUT yet.

At Tunica Resort, Salzenstein is OUT, Masson IN.

At Ostrava, no change so far.

I'm crappy with geography. Would it make any kind of logical sense for Alex to go to Ostrava to try and qualify? I don't know what the distance is from Tunisia to Ostrava. Any one to help me out with a guess?

According to the world time clock, they are only seperated by one time zone. Tunis is near the top of the African continent, and if the 'boot' of Italy could swing, it could conceivably give Tunisia a little kick. Czech Republic is north of Italy, and a little bit 'over to the right' so it would make sense for Alex to go there next. Hope that helps, but that description may only make sense in my world.

People don't withdraw from qualifying of challenger. They are not entered until they sign in!

22 players in Ostrava Q are Czechs... only one match has 2 foreigners...

Tunica Q is Alex and 15 dwarfs...

some interesting names... Washington, Blake, Sugiyama... are they relatives of more famous namesake?

Mashika Washington is the younger brother of MaliVai. He's mostly a challenger/futures level player. At age 30, he's 2-9 career on the ATP tour. They also have a sister, Mashona, who is #59 on WTA tour.

Thomas Blake is the older brother of James (he also played tennis at Harvard). He's mostly a challenger/futures level player & occassionally plays qualifying for ATP events and doubles with James when they can get a wild card. At age 28, he's 2-5 career on the ATP tour.

Ostrava Main Draw:

http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/Trac ... 97/MDS.pdf

Tunica Main Draw:

http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/Trac ... 10/MDS.pdf

This Draw I wouldn't have minded if they held off till Quallies were done. I would rather see a (4,Q) next to Alex's name :( .

Looks like Gambill changed his mind about playing here. Brian vs. Gimelstob again
