The U.S. Tennis Association canceled the $50,000 men's Challenger event scheduled in Covington, La., the week of Sept. 12. A new USTA men's Challenger event will be scheduled for the week of Oct. 24 at a site to be determined.

What happens to the players who entered the challenger in Covington now when it´s cancelled? I suppose they just either have a week off or are aloud to play qualifying in an other event?

I suppose some might head over to Claremont for USA F22. But the higher ranked players like Goldstein and Reynolds will likely have the week off.

Covington is just north of New Orleans. The whole region was decimated by the hurricane.

Oh right. I knew where new orleans was, but i didn;t realise that cobington was so close to it. I had a feeling that the hurricans might have something to do with it, but thanks for telling me, bye.
