Geneva gave wildcards to Finnish players the last 3 years, is there a reason for that and can I expect it again? :? :S

Hi

Geneva challenger wild cards to Finnish players.

The main sponsor of Geneva challenger is IPP which is russian owned energy company who has business in Finland.
IPP has sponsored many years Helsinki challenger in november.
So IPP has his own interest to give wild cards to Finnish players.

I really hope that this year IPP gives wild card to Juho Paukku.
Juho has played poor tennis this year, but he is slowly coming back to his last year's good level. Juho won Capdeville last year in Geneva and played even match against Almagro in the second round.

Juho's new coach is Henrik Johansen, who was the coach of Jarkko Nieminen some years ago. So let's hope that Johansen can give important tennis tips to help Juho Paukku.

greetings

That should be the last update on Manerbio. Geneva is done too. Bukhara could change still for a day.

Sorensen is in the qualifying draw at Geneva. I assume he may be taken out by tomorrow before play, as he has made the main draw at Manerbio (unless he says he does not want to go to Manerbio!)

Andrew Derer is in the qualifying draw as 3rd seed at Geneva, but he is name is also crossed out from the seeds list at the bottom of the drawsheet. That's strange! .. Hmmm ... We will know tomorrow if he is playing there or not!

Bukhara -- no further changes from above; The qualies draw is out.

As for Andrew Derer, I think that was some typing problem why his name was crossed out at the bottom of the draw yesterday. He played qualies today and won two rounds at Geneva. Plyas Matkowski tomorrow in the final qualies.

Sorensen seems to have played at the Geneva qualies - though he had made the Menerbio main draw list i the last minute .. Worse still, he lost the first round of qualies to a wildcard, Fred Nussbaum and he is done done for the week! .. Oh, how sad!

here's a incredible joke!
But that's the truth!

In the qualifs draw of geneva, David benabou is a very bad player....his level is like a beginner....

Look this video to see some views from match against the player Bonami!

http://www.passion3ds.com/Gag1.wmv

I dont know how he could play the qualifs but that's anything!

You can walk in and play qualies at most challengers. Unless you are significantly better than Benabou, be ready for being badly beaten by some Bonami by a bagel and bagel like Benabou was butchered ...

Be warned :)

Maybe the Swiss see him as someone who could eventually challenge Federer to become Swiss #1.
