I agree with you there.

Thanks for posting the lists though. I appreciate it. I was really expecting to see bad news in that Lexington Draw but maybe I will have more reason than just Baghdatis to go to LA Quallies after all.

Jay? What do these lists do to the Alt. list for L.A.? I think BD told me that Alex was #42 on the Alt. list. Not that it means much if he signs in and comes within the top 32 but I would just like to know if it's possible to know.

Once a player enters a Challenger, they have to honor that commitment. None of the players on these lists can go to LA for qualies and they have to come off the alt list.

I already know about that because that's how I was able to confirm the Tarzana Challenger or the Indy Alt. list.

And that's not the question I asked. You answered what I already know. I do not have access to Alt. lists to cross names off myself and do the deductions so I am asking Jay (or anyone else with access) how much does Alex get bumped up in the Alt. list now?

I see. I misunderstood your question, thought you were asking for the general info, not the specifics for that particular list.

No problem. Apologies if my reply sounded rude. I'm just trying to figure out what I'm going to do. I know that Alex probably won't be bumped up high enough to make the MD but anything is better than #42. Within the top 32 Alt. would make me feel much better.

On a quick count, about 12 players above Bogomolov are gone to various challengers. So, he is still about 30 out. The chances are almost nil for him to make the LA main draw, which normally does not drop much further than about 120 or so ...

Don't worry about him making the LA qualies. The cut for that will be way down, at somewhere in the 600 to 900 range. Alex will quite possibly be a seed, even a top-4 seed there.

Thank you, Jay. So assuming he doesn't make the weekend of Tarzana, though with that list...he should, he will be in Quallies. Need to go over to the correct thread to remind myself if L.A. has an SE. Though I can't remember if an SE would be extended to someone coming from a Challenger.

Thanks a lot for those lists Jay :)

and Tennis724, a Qualified Event for Special Exempt to an ATP International Series Tournament is the singles event of any International Series or ATP Masters Series Tournament. Hope this helps.

Wild Cards in Poznań go to: Michal Przysiezny, Filip Urban, Adam Chadaj and winner of youth championships - Robert Godlweski. There are 5 WC's (!!!) so one more is left to give.

check
http://www.porscheopen.pl/players/final/

btw i think the 5th WC is a mistake... they could have messed it up with a SE
so sick of love songs.

Jay: why are not all SE spots cleared at the same time ?

Do a player has to be on the ALT list in order to be eligible for a SE spot in a given Challenger?
So far as I remember, you can get a SE spot only if are still playing in a trn from previous week on the same continent. Is it true ?

I guess that depends. Normally I believe one has no obligation to show up if one is not in the initial entry list and was an ALT player. If ATP contacted him after he made the cut (before the draw was made) and he said he was going - and then did not show up, I think they can fine him. Most probably they could not get hold of him to make sure. Or he made an attempt to go and could not get there on time. In this case, Junaid made the cut at least 4 or 5 days ahead of the main draw, so he may not have too many excuses though. I guess ATP will use their discretion on these matters (but they are quite tough in their discretion, from what I know .. As they well should be, because the players will surely try to "work" the system if ATP starts being too lenient!)
