Yes, Alger IS cancelled. This was in the ATP calendar update of May 1st.

Threw a monkey wrench into the plans of many clay court players, who are left with only the tough Braunschwig challenger to go to. So a few more of them would end up playing wimbledon qualies that week, as they have no choice. Only a couple of of top-275 players had entered the other challenger that week in Cuenca (Ecuador), as fas as I know. The wimbledon qualies cut would be quite high again.

I think Mantilla will play Gstaad, he has won that twice and usually goes there.

Aptos Entry list

Postby Fee » Tue Jun 21, 2005 6:25 pm

Okay, having done this now, I have even MORE respect and appreciation for what BD does.

Goldstein - 101
Phau - 103
Carraz- 111
Lapentii, G - 114
Dupuis - 116
Gimelstob - 123
Gambill - 127
Dlouhy - 139
Delic - 145
Tursunov - 152 (? - couldn't read it)
Lu - 153
Okun - 154
Heuberger - 159
Bogomolov, JR - 162
Dancevic - 164
Capdeville - 173
Baker - 175
Reynolds - 189
Salzenstein - 196
Weiner - 192
Ferreiro - 209
Niemeyer - 217

Interesting to compare this list to the Washington DC ATP list, also due out this week. (Which we can then compare to the Vancouver Challenger list, due in 3 weeks).

Is the Aptos list the one that Fiona posted? I didn't even think to check if the USTA site had the entry list out before I asked last night. It's been so long since there were stateside Challengers :)

Argh, is the board malfunctioning again? I've tried to edit my post 3 times and it just fails every time. Perhaps its time to consider switching to a vBulletin board?

Yes, that is the Aptos Challenger list. Forgot to put a title inside the post itself, but I did list it in the subject line.

Sopot ALT list starts with Di Mauro and Calleri. They are likely to enter the main draw because I guess players like Mayer, Kohlschreiber and Sargsian (wtf he's doing here?) are going to withdraw. One WC seems to be given to Lukasz Kubot.

hmm i wonder why the entry list on the official site of tournament in Sopot is different than given above :KooKoo: http://www.ideaprokomopen.pl/pl/zawodnicy/zawodnicy.php?typ=MG
the list on the site was published today... they should know who's going to play at their event. But Kevin Kim on clay in Poland? Is the world close to finish?
so sick of love songs.

I have posted all the challenger lists for week 30 (Jul 25th) and the Cincinnati masters list for week 33 (Aug15).

For the ATP tournaments in Stuttgart and a week later in Kitzbuhl have been released entry lists for the qualifying tournament. 20 entries and 4 WC's to be announced further on.

ATP STUTTGART QUALIFICATION CUT: 200
ATP KITZBUHL QUALIFICATION CUT: 357

very low cut in Kitzbuhl as most players seem to have preferred to enter one of the seven challengers tournaments in this week. . . .

Thanks! .. Lists edited out later .. See BD's "official" threads for the lists of the week - http://www.stevegtennis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=850 and http://www.stevegtennis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=866 .. Jay

I thought of that about 2 seconds after I posted. What I was thinking of was the week of September 26 (which won't be out until the week of August 15th). Overanxious I guess.
