He found out it wasn't played on clay. ;)

Seriously, the reason he gave for withdrawing from Queen's Club was leg injury so probably the same reason re. Nottingham.

There 2 WC yet to be determined... if they go to Bogdanovic (the Brittish #3 should get it, don't you think?), Hilton or Delgado they would be out of the qualifying of course...

Dudi Sela is now #3 in the alternate list and would surely get in. Harel Levy is #10 and that's quite iffy...

Thanks Jay :)

With Santoro retiring today against Safin, he might be in doubt for Rosmalen. Just wondering if you have like an ALT doubles team that would replace him and Allegro? Would that be Fisher/Haggard?

Any reason why Nadal pulled out? Not that it wasn't to be expected.

After he lost in Halle, it came out that he has a thigh injury (pulled muscle?) and also blisters again. Plus, the poor kid really needs a rest.

He definitely does, D.

Does anyone know the time of day that the Wimbledon Quallies Draw is expected to be done? I'm guessing that it will be done on Saturday but I haven't seen the time.

They will do it on Sunday. The list won't be final till 6 pm Sunday at Nottingham and Halle, when they take out players who have not lost by then in those qualies, from the Wimbledon qualies.

So, sometime Sunday night, they will make the draw. Before 8 pm or so London time I assume. Not sure how soon they will post the draw at the wimbledon website (ATP does not post the grand slam draws, so we do not have the usual link where they come up immediately after the cut-off time).

Thanks, Jay. After I asked I saw that Sunday was the release day. Play is supposed to start Monday, right? Or is it Tuesday?

I only wanted to know if there was a time so I can have the page up and be ready to refresh over and over and over again...until the draw comes up :)

IN: Ventura, Ginepri, Monfils, Sargsian, Hanescu
NEXT: Tipsarevic, A.Popp, Vanek, Benneteau, Lisnard, Wawrinka, Bjorkman, Kucera, Phau, Morrison, Calleri

No real change anywhere .. Just some ALT list changes. I am surprised at how well the Wimbledon qualies list is holding up. Gone are the days when people enmasse boycotted the big old grass grand-daddy. Now everybody and his uncle has turned into a cow and wants to eat up the grass, it seems.

There is no qualifying list at Rosmalen.
Only grand slams, masters series and international series gold tournaments have qualifying entry list.
For all other tournaments, you have to sign-in on-site on the evening before the 1st round of qualies.

I guess that will change in the last few days...
there are 2 WC to be announced, that might be taken out of the qualifying... and possibly some qualifyers at Rosmalen/Nottingham... and some last-hour withdrawals as usual...
I hope Harel Levy (alt #10 at the moment) will sneak in... not that I expect him to do something special there...

I know there's no qualies list for Rosmalen, but I thought I'd share that Jean-Claude Scherrer is not playing :Dejected: 8-[

He was supposed to play, but fever & flu and a virus most probably caused by food poisoning weakened him and he only started practising again yesterday, so today's too early :( I so wanted to see him play again :(

No idea, Eric, about why Wessels withdrew .. Injured or something? ..

Nottingham (2 SE spots cleared)
OUT: Ferrer, Fish, Massu, Puerta, Spadea (and Burgsmuller, Benneteau, Kucera, I.Minar, Saretta from ALT)
IN: Ventura, Ginepri, Monfils, Sargsian, Hanescu, Tipsarevic, A.Popp

IN: Burgsmuller, Vanek, Benneteau, Lisnard, Wawrinka, Bjorkman, Kucera, Phau
NEXT: Calleri, Gimelstob, Simon, Lapentti, Seppi, Mutis, Ramirez-Hidalgo, Mertinak

Wimbledon Q
OUT: Enqvist, Greul, Kohlmann, Kratochvil, Mackin, Marray, Mutis, Philippoussis (and Roger-Vasselin from the ALT list)
IN: Vico, Roitman, Kimmich, Galvani, Moraru, Prpic, Todero, Sela
NEXT: DeChaunac, Galimberti, Mlynarik, Mergea, Fraile, Levy, Vassalo-Arguello, Hartman, T.Chen, J.Vacek

Enqvist has made the Wimb main draw .. I believe Bogdanovic will be taken out from the qualies now, as he has earned the British playoff wildcard to the Wimb main draw.

Only Hilton, as fas as I know, is above the Wimbledon Q cut. Mankad, right now 8 out from the cut, is the next one.

Hilton qualified into Nottingham. So he is out from the Wimbledon Q list.

No official updates since friday, but we can take Hilton out of the qualies list and put Florin Mergea IN.

If the news on Wessels withdrawal from the main draw is correct, then Ulihrach is into the main draw, and Fraile is also IN for the qualies list.

I think Levy is the NEXT-IN now (the cut may even have gone a couple of spots further down, but we don't know for sure)
