French player Mathieu Montcourt, 24 years old and #119 on last ATP ranking has been found dead Tuesday 7th of July in is flat in Paris.
He was realy appreciated by his fellow tennisman and was a talented player on hits way to top 100. He recently reached the finals of Bordeaux Challenger defeating top 100 players. He also reached the second round of the last French Open as a LL.
Very sad new. We think about his family and colleagues.

Mathieu Montcourt has gone
It is with great sadness that the French Tennis Federation was the sudden death of Mathieu Montcourt on the night of 6 to 7 July. Mathieu was only 24 years ...
Born in Paris on 24 March 1985, Mathieu Montcourt started tennis at six years. He reached the #104 on ATP ranking on 22 June. He was 19th player in the french national ranking in 2009.
Mathieu had followed the Federal sector. His coaches were successive Borfiga Louis, Soulès Olivier, Olivier Delaître, Guillaume Marx and Jerome Prigent, his coach to this day.
Lover of the tournament at Roland Garros since his childhood, "Math," as they called him, had reached the second round of the Internationaux de France in 2006, 2007 and 2009. He also won three Challenger titles (Durban in 2007, Tampere and Reggio Emilia in 2008). He was also vice-champion of France 15-16 years in 2001.
Mathieu was an enthusiastic, passionate, very engaged young man, highly appreciated for his kindness and politeness.
The causes of death are not yet known.
