ATP Calendar 2009-2011

ATP has just published the calendars 2009-2011 on its website.

They are important changes but not like I expected.

Main change is the creation of a 3 weeks Asian season in september with 2 ATPS, 2 '500' and 1 '1000' in Shanghai.
Madrid is moved to mai and replaces Hamburg. Valencia move to november and becomes a 500.

Players will not be happy because the density of tournaments will be very high: from March 9 till May 17, 5 master series '1000' will be played in 10 weeks. French open will start one week later after that.

I didn't notice any difference in 2010 and 2011 calendars.

I hoped radical changes in the calendar but I doubt it will ever happen.
