Controversial Call in Men's Semifinal in Beijing

What do people think about Blake's post-match assertion that it was incumbent on Gonzalez to call the touch of the ball on his racket on that controversial point in the men's semifinal that went to Gonzalez 11-9 in the third?

My thinking is that it's the ref's job, not the players, to make the calls. However, I wouldn't be surprised to the see replay/challenge system extended to cover calls like this in addition to in and out calls if the video technology becomes available.
