yeah I also think Rafa will do well there...has a good chance to win. I also don't think Robredo will be there, since he's injured...I expect him to pull out...which further gives Rafa a big chance

By the way, in Valencia a WC is sure for Ferrero, if he can't finally get into main draw . Remember that he's one of the tournament organizers, and Valencia is his birthplace and residence zone .

I'm not sure, but i think another WC will go to Alex Corretja, if he isn't injured, obviously.

I have corrected the doubles entry list above. I think I had flipped the lists between the events, earlier .. And then ATP also revised the lists a bit .. Edited lists above.

Doubles Update:

Etlis has withdrawn from doubles at Valencia. So Martin Rordriguez can pick somebody else to play with (as long as that player rank would keep them inside the cut as it stands now - if I am not mistaken)

To get a special exempt in an International series tournament the player must have played the prior week a same-level tournament or a higher-level tournament, then you can't get a SE in an International series playing previously a challenguer.

ATP would normally get in touch as fast as they can and figure out where each ALT player in multiple lists is going ... But we have also seen them unable to get in touch with a player who is in a plane or something .. Then they would basically keep the name in multiple lists all the way till the end and simply wait to get the site supervisors to find out where a player shows up (normally the supervisors would then get in touch with each other and take the player out in the last minute from other lists before the lists are finalized for main draws and the qualifying draws are made) ..

So, yes, Luczak did make a main draw ...

That may be the final update, possibly. Any further changes would be known only at the tournament sites.

Oh, poor guy Luczak was probably traveling to casablanca, thinking that is where he had an outside chance to make it .. But then Valencia dropped like a rock in the end, and he made it while he ended up one out from Casablanca -- probably too late for him, and so he decided to just play the qualies at WhiteHouse I guess.

That's sad, but it happens to one or two guys every week, as some of the players withdraw way too late (even in cases where everybody and his uncle knows the withdrawal is coming -- why do they wait till the last minute??).

That means Dupuis or warinka probably made it into the Valencia main draw by the end ...

Well, as we guessed, Dupuis made it into Valencia main draw (which came out now), as Luczak couldn't go there..

Luczak won first round of qualies, defeated Frantisak CERMAK (Cze) 7-5, 6-1 - plays Leonardo TAVARES (Por) in 2nd round.
2 wins to go to main draw :S

Well in his post-match press conference today, he talked about going there and playing Juan Carlos.... so I guess he's gonna play? IMO not a brilliant move on his part. :KooKoo:
