I presume to bottom of the list is the alternates list? Why aren't the last ones in order of the ranking

It's a 96 draw so that should be the whole list of direct entries.

While I was ordening the list, I had to go for an emergency. Since I didn't want to lose the work I had already done, I posted the provisional list. Now everything should be in order!
I did expect that there would be at least 1 SE-spot here, but that isn't the case.

Isn't it week 12/13 as Indian Wells is 10/11? If I look at ATP calander on atptennis.com it says that Miama starts 14 days after Indian Wells

I think the reason there is no SE spot is because the qualifiers don't start until Monday. This means anyone playing in the semis at Indian Wells would be able to get to Miami before it starts and so wouldn't need a SE.

BD -- There was a correction in the qualifying list at Miami. They had missed Goldstein, Paul USA 158 at #3 in the ALT list. So he has been inserted.

Massu is still not gone from the list for Miami. Actually I find this picture of Massu practising at Miami two weeks back, at the Miami website --

Qualifying deadline is on Monday 30 minutes before play begin so the draw will be made the same day

Patrik: That is the deadline for qualifying Alternate sign-in, not for qualifying entry itself. The qualifying draw would be made, based on the entry list for Q as above, on the previous day, at least by night-time. As there is no sign-in for qualifying itself and players in the draw are required to arrive only by the time their match time on monday, the qualifying draw is made without the knowledge of who has arrived on site (this is the case with all the qualies for which ATP has an early entry deadline and a list). Though there is a fine for no-show, there would probably be a couple of no-shows on Monday. The sign-in above is for alternates to fill those spots. The highest ranked players who have arrived on-site and signed in monday morning, would be placed as qualifying alternates. You don't need to have been in the main or qualifying entry list for you to make it in as an alternate, and hence the sign-in for that.

Jay

OK, thanks Jay for clearing that out

The men's qualie draw will be made sometime on Sunday, I'm guessing about 6 pm US EST. Play begins on Monday, March 21st.

Don't know about the women. check the tournament website www.nasdaq-100open.com (or something like that).

Qualifying wild cards:

Todd Reid AUS

Also, Paul-Henri Mathieu (next in) is not in the qualifying draw. Someone else (Massu) must have withdrawn.

The official final list from ATP had Suzuki as the last entry for qualies, but there were three more spots that cleared by evening for qualies (Arthurs, Mathieu, Sluiter) .. Mathieu must have made the main draw on a main draw withdrawal (not sure who).

Anyway, Tsonga, Weiner and Kunitsyn were the last three to make it into the qualifying draw with Kunitsyn as the last entry.

I rode friday in french newspaper that Mathieu didn't want to plat qualies as he was exhausted after Davis Cup and IW. He said he would take his decision at the last time.
So I'm quite sure he withdraw for the qualies, and maybe want already to prepare his clay season.

Wait and see !

Does anyone know why Sluiter withdrew from qualifying?
I know he had a knee injury (which is why he didn't play Davis Cup for the Netherlands against Switzerland) but he did play the Sunrise challenger last week.

And maybe the fact that he wasn't in the MD and he had to play quallies, I don't think he's that injured.
