Gaudio is Out of Costa do Sauipe, is puerta an SE?

He was SE anyway. Gaudio's spot in the draw is replaced by Ricardo Mello, who is made 9th seed.

He have to rest after two straight tournament wins with many tough matches and get ready for the bigger tournament in Acapulco next week and then Davis Cup the week after that

That's not technically correct. Gaudio is suffering from pubalgia, which is a sports hernia or groin pain.

That's the official explanation for his withdrawl, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he wasn't really injured. This sort of withdrawl happens a lot. After all, what was the point of him playing an event where he couldn't earn any points, when he must be tired after winning two consecutive events?
