I'm afraid I can't do that yet. The entry list of the qualifying tournament comes out 3 weeks before the AO starts.
When I get it, I will post it in the ATP week 2-topic, because the qualifying will be played in that week.

Mark Philippoussis will receive a Wild Card, as the organizers have stated.

Tennis Australia hasn't given him a wild card yet as he may get in directly if others may drop out.

Adrian Garcia hasn't entered qualifying and is No. 18 on the alternate list for the main draw. So I don't think we will see Adrian Garcia in the AO.

Marc Kimmich (n°308, 21 y.o.), an australian, has won one of the WC for the Australian Open. He won a tournament which was set up by the Aus Federation rewarding the winner with a main draw WC to the AO.
He has also been given a WC for Adelaïde main draw.
Bon Tennis !

Tursunov is out until February or March with a back injury. Verkerk may need more time to recover from his shoulder surgery, as may Alexander Popp. Guess we'll know soon enough.

YESSS

SCOTT DRAPER IS MAIN DRAW DIRECT ENTRY
SO HE DOESNT NEED TO USE A WILDCARD
WHICH MEANS MORE AUSSIES :D

HOPEFULLY A FEW MORE WITHDRAW SO THAT SCUD CAN GET IN DIRECT AND NOT HAVE TO USE UP A WILDCARD!
Good Luck in 2006 to all the aussies!, especially:
Mark Philippoussis, Peter Luczak, Marc Kimmich, Rob Smeets, Raphael Durek, Brydan Klein & Matt Ebden and also Marat Safin, Dominik Hrbaty, Olivier Rochus & Paradorn Srichaphan!

dont mean to be nasty but keep the withdrawals coming

at this rate philippoussis will make the main draw direct with no trouble at all

hope he does so that wildcard can be given to another aussie player!

Did Jay have family & friends in the Tsunami area?? My thoughts are with him if he did.

I still have one person I know unaccounted for on whether or not she had family or friends on holiday over there. Starting to hit panic stage at this point. Wrote her on Sunday and texted today and nothing.

OK bad thunder and intense lightning. Need to go.

Why is Max Mirnyi a possible out??

I'm guessing that Robert Kendrick is because of his ongoing wrist problems

The reason why I haven't done the color-thing yet for this topic, is because I usually wait for Jay and his official withdrawals. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't believe Alex71 his withdrawals!

Tommy Haas also injued a groin (against Coria in Hopman Cip) could be out of Aus Open too. That would be a real shame, he is getting back to his best

I'm having a hard time keeping track. I know that Alex is 125 but how far out is he still from the MD. Will he, at least, get a high seed in quallies the way things are going with withdrawals?

At the moment he needs 12 players to withdraw from the AO main draw :( But he's number 10 in the quallies' main draw.

Thank you, Kasia. At least he should be a high seed in the quallies though :)
