Re: week |22-23| ATP: Roland Garros

Hi, I think that due to the weekly changes in the ATP rankings, the administrator/the compilers of these lists should update the players order until the rankings for a definite tournament are to be considered as nomore subject to modifications (three weeks before the tournament?)
Thanks

Nope, they stay like this, because these rankings are the ones that determine the acceptance lists, and are therefore fixed.

(or I misunderstand your question)

Not yet official but according to Belgian press the chances of Xavier Malisse playing in Paris are quite small. He has started training again after his wrist injury he had in Memphis, but things aren't going as planned. So he'll probably miss the entire claycourtseason and return at Queens.

Andy Murray and RG

Postby Rob & Stephen » Wed May 16, 2007 4:04 am

Andy Murray could well be out of Roland Garros after the wrist injury he suffered playing Filippo Volandri at Hamburg. It's in a cast and he's awaiting the results of an MRI scan on it. Shame about the injury as he was playing rather well against the Italian. Let's hope he's back in time for Wimbledon.
We absolutely love BEAR HUGS!!!!

Is there a mistake in the Qualifying alternate list above. How else is Ulihrach not OUT when players below him on the alternate list are IN (& he isn't)? Also, there are eleven OUT & ten IN.

Actually, he might be still IN. The source linked above firstly mentioned Murray's withdrawal as official. Since I couldn't log in, I wasn't able to correct my post. Sorry.

Soon after Brad Gilbert gave us the apparent confirmation of the Roland Garros pull out, Andy Murray has now said he won't give his final decision until Monday.

Andy Murray told his website:
"I went to see the doctor a few days ago and had an x-ray. No broken bones so that’s good but I had a lot of inflammation which made it hard to read, so I got a cast and will wear it until I go for a second scan on Monday.

I will make a decision on the French open and grass season once I have a better idea of what the injury is and how long it is going to take to heal which I will hopefully have a better idea of on Monday."

Ascione is not in the Qualie draw, so Lugassy gets the last place.

Just speculating but maybe Ascione will get a Main Draw WC if Murray pulls out and is replaced by Devilder or Mahut, next alternates, who already hold MD WCs

I bet Murray is flavour of the month
with Navarro Pastor ;) (or maybe a replacement WC as Mahut would have got in directly)

Murray now OUT but too late for a direct entrant
so a LL will replace him
