couple of Davis cup mistakes - doubles

I was comparing results with Daviscup website and found:

Argentina doubles team was Canas,Nalbandian according to daviscup.com (Steve has S.Prieto,Nalbandian)

Netherlands doubles team was R.Haase,Wassen (DC.com) , Steve has Sijsling,Wassen

Korea doubles team was Jae-Sung An, Woong-Sun Jun (by DC.com) , Steve has Hyung-Taik Lee, Woong-Sun Jun


Thanks. These things can happen in Davis Cup because of the quick changes they tend to make. Good to have someone checking these.

This rankingerror is still existing in this week ranking!

If the situation is not like written below - the ATP-rulebook doesn't tell the truth - and in this case please tell to the world and to me why!!

In ATP rankings (2-Apr-07 and 9-Apr-07) is written that Jarkko Nieminen is #20 in ranking and Lleyton Hewitt #19.
That is wrong and must be otherwise!

They both have 1250 rankingpoints.
...and if two players are tied so ATP Official Rulebook says:

"When two or more players have the same total number of points, ties shall be broken as follows:

(i) the most total points from the Grand Slams, ATP Masters Series Tournaments and Tennis Masters Cup, and if still tied, then,
(ii) the fewest events played, counting all missed Grand Slams, ATP Masters Series Tournaments and Tennis Masters Cup they could have played (as described under 1. above) as if played, and if still tied, then,
(iii) the highest number of points from one single Tournament, then, if needed, the second highest, and so on. "

Jarkko Nieminen has these points 780
and Lleyton Hewitt only 765 points.

So Nieminen must be ATP19 and Hewitt ATP20.

This case Nieminen vs Hewitt rankings is already in Tennis News and Stats forum section with it's own topic.

In Nieminen vs Hewitt case the question is not how many points they have collected this year. It is question which of them has collected more Grand Slam and ATP Masters Series points during the past whole year.

Yes, Ginepri should have received a 0-pointer. Bjorkman appealed his Rotterdam ruling and got it overturned. As for Hewitt and Nieminen, seems they need to do some reprogramming.

But due to some of these errors, the a revised rankings will be released soon.
