Ok, I think 577 replies is more than enough for one thread. Especially since its so long some people can't even access the final pages. So its time to start a new topic for corrections.

Post your observations of mistakes in results and rankings (however small) here.

Marseille Ranking Points/Factsheet

Postby RobbieC » Mon Feb 19, 2007 5:08 am

Hi Everyone - Thanks for all the hard work: you're doing a fantastic job.
I'm one of the editors of the new http://www.britishtennis.net website, and maintain the rankings page there.

Correction/Update required for the Marseille ATP tournament. The factsheet ( http://stevegtennis.com/factsheets/2007/a-marseille.htm) has this down as a € 510,250 tournament with 200 points for the winner. The ATP's drawsheet says the same: http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/Trac ... 96/mds.pdf

However, either there's been the most almighty mess- up on the ATP computer, or it seems that it was, in fact a €353K tournament, with only 175 points for the winner, as all those playing there have only been awarded these points (e.g. Gilles Simon: http://www.atptennis.com/3/en/players/p ... layer=SD32)

Any ideas??

Besancon ch. - calendar 100K+H, results section 100K without H. Where is the true ?

The ATP still rarely puts the +H on its drawsheets. :(

There has been a messup on ATP Computer

If you look at the Race they have Correctly Awarded Simon with 40 Points :o

The following is a link to how they SHOULD look today

http://www.webpark.sk/vlmark/rank18.txt

The Problem is the Cutoff for 200 points is 600K in USDollars
and Marseille Prizemoney is in Euros

Looks like the ATP have now fixed the problem on the main rankings tables at least.

- Unfortunately that means that the rankings table here on stevegtennis is now wrong, and needs to be re- downloaded from the ATP.

:Dejected:
I'll get on it. Hopefully I can get an updated copy.

--edit: here is a summary of the changes:

Gilles Simon +25
Marcos Baghdatis +20
Robin Soderling +15
Jarkko Nieminen +15
Jonas Bjorkman +10
Julien Benneteau +10
Mikhail Youzhny +10
Richard Gasquet +10
Jason Marshall +2 (not sure how he got in there...probably an unrelated mistake)

Lleyton Hewitt has LOST Points in the Race !!!!

For some reason his Marseilles Points (3 Race 15 Rank)
have been removed???

Is this an error or is it due to new Rules on Withdrawing from events 8-[

No, its an error. It will be corrected next week.

... yes, race rankings this week are strange: for Rotterdam got 2.Rnd loser (LL) DeVoest 5 pts, while the same 2.Rnd loser (LL) VanScheppingen 8 race pts :? (for example - maybe there´s more incorrect)

Wolfsburg ch. - QF result wrong: correct is (LL)D.Brands def. (Q)B.Rehnquist (you have Rehnquist d. Brands)

Wolfsburg ch. - seeds section: 7. Ivo Minar WD (it is missing)
R.Bloomfield should be seeded No.9 (in seeds section, Rounds 1,2 and QF).
Now there are 2 players seeded as No.8 - Haase and Bloomfield !

thanks, corrected these and others above.

Two small typos:

Cherbourg challenger qualifying
"Qualifying round"

Salinas Challenger
(6)Paolo Lorenzi (ITA) d. Peter Luczak (AUS) 6-7(5) 7-6 (5) 7-6 (5)
-> The spaces in the tiebreak there mess up my score automation ;)

Thanks, corrected.

Steve, the factsheet of Fes is a bit confusing about the Prize money. It says 35+H. When I had a look in the Entry Ranking for the points, there is 25+H or 37,5+H. Which Entry Ranking point list is to be used? :? Or is it a fault of you?

Yes, my fault. I thought I updated the entry points table. Well I did, just didn't do that part. I will update it shortly. :)
