Hi Rosie,
That´s nice to hear of you again.![]()
It´s a pity he got injured. I expected him to finish in the top 70 if he had a good performance in Bratislava, Ukraine and Shrewsbury. I´m pretty surprised with the good results he achieved on hard courts.
I guess that he will play a few exhibition tournaments on hard court in Argentina before heading to Australia in January.
Ranked as high as 90 in the world he will have to play on challenger and Atp tournaments yet until he can jump close to the top 50.
Cheers,
Fran

Hi Fran,
If you want to know his schedule, both for exhibitions at the end of this year, and ATP tournaments for the begining of 2007, I have put it on his Forum on MTF which is http://www.menstennisforums.com/ - just go to the Player Forums and you will find his thread there, and also on the English language Forum of his official site, which is http://www.jmdelpotro.8m.com He will start in Chennai on January 1st next year, and then onto Auckland before the Australian Open.
Cheers,
Rose

Do u know if he will get WC for those tournaments. I´m afraid that his ranking will be not good enough to be there.

Rosie wrote:With a ranking inside the Top 100- he will automatically qualify for the Australian Open and Chennai (their cut off was about 119 last year I think). He will probably have to qualify in Auckland - it's far too early for him to know if he may be offered a Wild Card there.

Rebound Ace surface and weather may suit pretty well for JMDP tennis style of playing so I expect him to have a good performance in the Aussie Open.
