Tokyo wild cards:
http://www.asahi.com/english/Herald-asa ... 60129.html
Adding some local flavor will be Japanese wild-card entries Go Soeda, Goichi Motomura and Satoshi Iwabuchi.

Gimelstob must be out from Tokyo. No idea if the lists have been updated by the ATP, but all news articles say that he'll require a few months to get fit.

Thanks for the info on the men's entry list, do you have the same data for the ladies?

I ask because I will be attending the tournament for the qualifying and the first two rounds and would like to know whom I can expect to see.

Many thanks

No, none of us here seem to have direct access to the WTA lists, but the place where you are most like to to find the info is the http://www.wtaworld.com forums.

The WTA now forbids this information from coming out, so entry lists are becoming more and more scarce there.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I guessed as much with the potential that some stalker might plan their vacations/life around where their fave player is going to turn up.

Sort of ruins it for the true fan though :x

Added probably so no one gets mad but he's out :)

It is not that .

It is because they are embarassed by the number of withdrawls
the Women make each week .

If they don't publish the Initial lists no one will know who should have been there ;)

hadn't thought of that, anyway the Tokyo website has been updated this week to show some more names of players, which is now out of date as it looks like Marcos is not going after suffering an injury in Bangkok.

Marat Safin has one Wild Card http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/20060920_133313_01.html

According to a friend of mine who lives in Metz, local radio has announced another has been given to Marc Gicquel, and a quallie Wild Card to Julien Mathieu.

Rosie's message said Julien Mathieu was a wild card in the qualies draw, not a wild card for the main draw, so there is still one there for JCF.

The qualy draw is out and Mathieu is listed there

TeRRy: I updated the lists/colors above.

Murguruza is listed as withdrawn from the Tokyo Q ALT list, but is in the draw for Q. May have been a last minute withdrawal. Perhaps there will be a small change in the draw before the qualies start (or there will be an ALT spot for a sign-in player at Tokyo Q)
