needless to say he's injured, he would have gotten a WC for sure ... i saw him supporting the Belgian Fed Cup Team today, he's walking with krukken, so i expect his season is over

Walking with Krücken (to say in German, or sticks in English) doesn't sound really good. :(

just checked out the qualis for Quito and........... is this a misprint, or are there really 23 wildcards in a 32 draw????????????

I guess not. Possibly only 9 guys signed in friday night. That meant the ATP supervisor could let the organizers give the names of some 19 extra guys. They were probably club players they called up in the evening, asking them to them to show up saturday morning if they wanted to get a taste of an ATP match .. Normally not done, but I like the organizers doing that kind of stuff! .. Nice! .. A bunch of no-name guys can now tell their grandchildren that they played an ATP challenger match once!
