That won't count as a zero-pointer then will it? Because he was not IN on the original list.

Thomas Johansson will be out of action for a least 4 months so he won't play in Indian Wells . He injured his eye in a freak accident during practice in Rotterdam, and has a detached retina which requires surgery and at least 3-4 months rest. The WC for Young is undeserved :x and unjustifiable  :KooKoo: watching he isn't even able to shine in futures . I wonder how many games he will win in his match at Indian wells

Those are exactly my views on the Philippoussis Wild Card. At least Young is a young, up-and-coming player needing experience, and he is also an American - and I always thought the idea of Wild Cards was to help the local youngsters make a breakthrough into a major tournament on home soil. Fair enough to give Mark P. Wild Cards at home in Australia - and perhaps even at Wimbledon where he has done well historically - but he seems to have spent the last couple of years living off Wild Cards all over the world that could have given opportunities to youngsters and I think it is vastly unfair. Just my opinion anyway.

Yeah, I agree.

Young also got one b/c he's with IMG and they partly own the event, or at least they did until the deal to keep it in IW was worked out.... or something.... lol.

No change in the main draw. For some reason, Philippoussis is not taken out from Q yet. I assume because official info has not reached ATP about the MD wildcard ...

I believe that is pretty much the last official list. Reynolds first-out for main draw and Mankad first-out for qualies.

I think more withdrawals are possible by later today, if anybody calls the on-site ATP supervisor to withdraw but we may not get a list update ..

Is there an error in the draw?

#13 Gonzalez and #12 Blake are in the same 1/16th of the draw, as are #17 Robredo and #24 Andreev. I thought the practice was that in each 1/16th of the draw there is to be one player seeded 16 or lower and one seeded 17 or higher. Is this not the case?

actually the layout of the draw in any united states tennis tourney is strictly designed to give our beloved cheesball andre agassi the best chance to move through the draw. that's the #1 priority. too bad they screwed this one up. haas should get him in the 3rd round :D

1 They Used the Previous Weeks Rankings for Seedings,
so Blake wasn't in Top 16

2 Then they re did the draw with Gonzalez and Blake both in the Top 16
playing in the Last 16

3 Finally they Posted the Correct (third time lucky Draw)

4 A Masters Series Event. What an embarassment :?
