no i totally agree with you, i only mentioned that because at the time when it happened to acasuso there was some discussion on another board that he may have tanked it knowing he'd already pulled out of the following tournament, in light of that rule. but, as i said before, i don't think this was the case for roddick, and i don't even think it was the case for acasuso either.

i would like to know if this supposed rule is known about properly or not because it doesn't really seem to be observed

as far as i know, he can't, because Acapulco is a gold series and he was in the semis of Costa do Sauipe, which is only an international series and u can only get an SE into a tournament of the same or higher level.

i want to know if he can get an SE into Las Vegas if he was on the alternates (and i don't know if he was). or perhaps he will just do doubles in acapulco??

lol, I checked the draw and roddick was already out, what a bad job of reporting, he pulled out before the draw was made, I guess ill check for myself before ever trusting chilean press. HAHA.
