The Marseille list is misnumbered: two line 3s (& there isn't a special exempt).

The tournament website at www.sapopentennis.com has Sargis Sargsian on the player list (guess his retirement is over). Tommy Haas' official website has him playing in San Jose, but he didn't enter the tournament. I think its a mistake on Tommy's site because he said last year that he didn't want to play the week after Davis Cup any more. Hmmm...

Not unless he gets offered a Wild Card. There was a big disagreement over money.

For which tournament? Doubt we'll need one for San Jose, I don't anticipate too many more guys dropping out of that one (but 2 more would be nice). Interesting crowd possibly showing up for qualies there...

They do the main draw ceremony at a hotel in San Jose at noon.

{I'm just being selfish Jay, I want Justin to come to SJ this year, but he's still playing in Dallas and won't make it to qualies.}

Well, that was odd. It is somewhat early for the draw to be made. I had not checked the fact sheet, but you are right Fiona, they had set the draw time for 12 noon. The draw is out already at the link above. Wang was the last entry.

Well, Gimelstob can still make the draw if there is a withdrawal till 10 am tomorrow when the qualies start. After that it would become a lucky loser spot.

Thanks Jay. I didn't know that. I thought once the draw was made and the qualie draw was made, the only spots were LL. There is still hope for him (but he's heading to San Jose for qualies in the morning anyway). Thank goodness SJ only has 3 courts to play 16 matches on, he's been promised the last 1st round match.

EMiLY -We have not shown Patience as OUT in the Buenos Aires list! ..

In any case, I don't think there is any rule about a player saying a few days back that he had no plans to play at an event and be taken out of the ALT list, and then the same player showing up in the last minute and signing in to play qualies. That would be a very rare case, that's all! .. But Patience was never taken out of the ALT list.

The cut-off in San Jose qualifying has been lowest than in Joplin qualifying , in fact the last acceptance in San Jose qualies has been a player without ATP ranking . Then i wonder why a great part of Joplin qualifyiers didn't sign-up in San Jose qualifying ?? :KooKoo:

Can we say that those guys haven't been very dumb or maybe there is an odd explanation (¿¿ rules ?? ) to explain this incongruous behaviour ??

Sorry , i have just realized that the cutt-off for Joplin qualifying is another guy without ATP ranking , that is the cut-off hasn't been highest than in San Jose, but i don't get to understand why a lot of players in Joplin qualies like Nuñez , Oudesma , Evans.... didn't sign-up in San Jose
