i'm confused - did weiner/coupe get into championship gentlemen doubles or not? their posted scores on the website says opponents won but daily news release claims they got into the championship?? were they lucky losers?

They lost in the last round of qualification... they're not in the main draw... no doubts to me... they news are wrong.

Actually, they lost in the first round of qualifying. Not much chance to be a lucky loser...5 teams would have to withdraw (at least) or others ahead of them not available! Maybe by "making doubles" they meant the qualifying draw.
