"America’s Mardy Fish is the INDESIT ATP 2004 Race Player of the Month for August after his impressive run at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, where he claimed the silver medal. "

What about Nico Massu won gold in Singles and Doubles ?

It's because Massu went up 13 spots while mardy fish went up 22 spots.

You would think the atp would at least look to doubles(and the fact he beat fish) and see his superhuman feat was worthy of mention.

Yes, I thought it was silly, especially since Fish only gained the places he lost when his Cincy 03 finalist points came off. Essentially he didn't move very much at all.

This one thing talks volumes about the absolute incompetence of ATP. They still have hardly talked about how superhuman the Chileans' effort was. Simply the most amazing physical effort by tennis players we have ever seen (probably even in the history of top level tennis).

ATP lost yet another chance to highlight and sell something that would have brough some more fans to the game.

I could cry, but I won't. I will just sit here, frustrated...
