he is a big guy, with a big serve. nothing special, nothing thrilling. you wanna know who plays a very good tennis? michel zverev, born in 87 in russia, german passport, lefty, charges the net all the time, very natural. and the italian arnaboldi, lefty as well. :D

This may be a stupid question but was sergei bubka a tennis player? I'm asking because I just read something about a pole vaulter named sergey bubka and am wondering if that's the same guy.

He made already 2 entry points at Latvia F1 this week! He qualified, defeated seeded #1 Timo Nieminen in the first round and is in the quarters now. In last rankings, he got 4 points already. Pretty good for a 17-year-old...

I am resisting the urge to start with a really bad pole vaulter joke - not required!

It looks like a good week for qualifiers and a bad week for top seeds: as well as your man Bubka, a qualifier has knocked out the no1 seed in the first rounds at Poznan, Timisoara and Italy. Also, the top dog has been toppled in the first round at Venezuela, Chile, Denver and of course Cincinnati.

Must be something to do with the full moon :? . Now there's a good excuse for Roger....
