Fognini is good, but did not deserve a seeding over Schwank, who got no respect at all from the FO guys for what he has done on clay this year. Ouanna's seeding is also a bit high, probably.

I thought Marcelo Pujol's #2 seed was a bit of a surprise though he had done well winning a futures in Spain on clay, etc. May be I was right though - he got upset in the very first round today.

But now it is time to walk the walk and we will know how these guys do out there this week and the seeding won't matter.

I wonder what makes an influence on seeding in junior tournaments :/ Sure Eduardo deserves better seed. Pujol is already out in 3 sets with Arevalo (ESA).

The only girl from Poland participating is Marta Lesniak (dawaj Marta!!! :))
so sick of love songs.

Zverev is the best young player, his hits are very strong and he is ready to play on ATP

Murray

Postby lucy » Wed Jun 02, 2004 3:56 am

It's a shame Andrew Murray chose to play Surbiton instead of RG. Obviously he wants ranking points, and the LTA is keen to support him, giving him a wild card into the event, but he hasn't made the most of his opportunities in juniors. He certainly should do well on clay; his friend Rafael Nadal has encouraged him on this surface.

FOGNINI has won with Kim (11) 6-4 6-3.
And now, in the quarter, with Monfils (1).

Let's hope.

Sesil Karatancheva

Postby BeadierPS14 » Fri Jun 04, 2004 2:03 pm

Sesil Karatancheva (14) is darn good and she is in the finals now.
She was *uckin' gonna blew all four semifinalist (the way they played badly) from the senior RG if she stepped in.

Kuznetsov

Postby Adam » Fri Jun 04, 2004 4:32 pm

Kuznetsov has stepped up in a big way this tournament. Not alot of people talked about him beforehand, but he is definitely ready to do big things. He is ranked 650 in pros as well right now. Hopefully he will make monfils his bitch tomorrow. he is also in finals of doubles w/ zverev.

Well I hope Monfils will win because you don't get many attackers winning the French Open- even if its just a junior title. He also has lost only one set throughout both his Aussie and so far French open run. :)

i hope kuznetsov wins the title he deserves it after beating all those seeds. He might cause another upset. But, it should be a close match. Monfils is ranked 459 on the pro tour and Alex is ranked 658. Alex has beaten players ranked higher than Monfils and clay is one of his best surfaces.
If you want you could visit Alex's site that I make :D - http://alexkuznetsov.8m.com
