I don't mean to be rude or self-centred, but if people want me to mark the withdrawals in red and the "IN-players" in green, I think it's better that I open the topics. If someone has the entry-lists before I have posted them, he can always mail them to me and then I can put them on the board, with a special thanks to the person who has sent it to me!
I don't suggest this to make myself important or because I would want all the praise for me. (I truly don't deserve much praise, since I only type the names in I get from Jay, and do my "color-thing") The only reason why I suggest this is because, that way, every topic would look the same and the fans of the "coloring" wouldn't have to miss it.
Let me know what you think about this! It sounds kind a logic to me, but perhaps I am the only one who thinks this way. And in that case, I'll rest my case, and everyone will be able to open topics with entry lists, the way they want to do it !!

I do agree that we should let BD publish the list first in this kind of thread.
I really appreciate the work he is doing and he has done with the help of Jay !!
The information that can relate to entry list before the list is published by BD from other people (and I do appreciate those kind of info from Alex or Toni for example) must be kept in another thread that would be deleted (by admin power ;) ) after the publication by Belgium Dude.

so far some people published the entry list just one day before BD did - so I find it worth waiting in order to keep the clarity of this thread

Thanks BD and keep the good work ! =D>

I agree completely with above.....

maybe it is a good idea to create 1 topic where everybody can post lists for all the upcoming tournaments?

thanks a lot!

I agree too. I'd like a section to talk about tournaments in progress out of "Tournament Entries - 2005"

I agree as well. Let BD publish entry lists first. This way we ensure that all entries looks the same and that the tournament entries bit is as user friendly as it can be.

Good idea to leave a thread open for people to post lists if they want to. If for any reason BD is running late on posting the "official" thread, we would have some info in this thread. So I renamed Toni's thread as the open one .. Hope this would do?

I believe BD will post the week 7 "official" list soon and keep it updated ..

But now I have to go to class. It's a lesson I can't skip!

CHALLENGER MEXICO CITY CUT: 206

disappointing cut of 206 for a 125+H tournament, this considering that the week before the Hard court tournament in Leon (450km away) with dotation 25+H has a cut of 172 !!

CHALLENGER TALLAHASSEE CUT: 205

better cut than Mexico-City although prize money is just 50
CHALLENGER CANBERRA CUT: 491

just found 22 DA, would bet that there should not be SE's the best entry of this tournament would not be a direct acceptance in any of the other challengers the same week . . . the worst initial cut for a challenger in the whole last year was 487 (challenger in Caloundra, as well in Australia) or in other words, the easiest points to win in many months will be in Canberra. . . .

Thanks! Lists edited out later .. See BD's "official" thread for the lists of that week - http://www.stevegtennis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=661 .. Jay

easy for the players but disappointing for spectators... no wonder people hardly know there's a challenger scene in australia.

CHALLENGER MEXICO CITY CUT: 206

same cut of 206 as the 125+H challenger the week before in Mexico City. although just 8 players entered directly both tournaments. the finalists of last year (Morrison & Lu) will be the top seeds this year. . . .

CHALLENGER BERMUDA CUT: 149

CHALLENGER OLBIA CUT: 204

just found 22 DA, would bet that there should not be SE's as there is no challenger in Europe the week before

Thanks!. The lists edited out later .. See BD's "official" threrad for the lists of the week - http://www.stevegtennis.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=670 .. Jay

Perhaps I could go back and edit out the lists above, as they have been posted in the list threads that BD keeps up? ... That might keep this thread more tidy. Will leave the posts themselves in there and just edit out the lists, to leave for the record that some of you helped to get the lists out faster than BD and I could get the official ones out .. What say you?

Keep the lists coming if you find them before we post them in the "official" threads!

The 100 players for Roland Garros are 6 weeks before the tounament start availeble? And the qualification players 3 weeks??
Am I right??
Amsterdam

Postby R. Jayakrishnan » Wed Mar 23, 2005 9:11 pm

That is correct. Qualifying list is actually FOUR weeks before the tournament (three weeks before the qualifying week).
