Verkerk has a shoulder injury. He hoped to recover by taking a rest but this did not work. Today it was in the Dutch press that he has to undergo surgery. Recovery will take at least six weeks in an optimistic scenario but in the worst scenario could even take 6 to 8 months!
So it looks almost certain he will not play any tournaments anymore in 2004.

It is normal to have the same name from the ALT enter multiple lists and stay there till ATP hears from the player about where he is going .. Thus Thomann was in all three lists (as are other players).

Here is another update. Thomann is still not removed from the Palermo list. I suppose he had higher priority for that event and they will wait to see if he could make that one (probably not) ..

Bangkok ATP (No SE spots)
OUT: Labadze, Saulnier, Tursunov (and quite a few from the ALT list) .. No top-40 withdrawals.
IN: Rosset, Thomann, Heuberger
NEXT: Zib, Okun, Luczak, Levy, Baccanello, van Lottum, Vanek, Pescosolido, Bracciali, Savolt ..

Shanghai
OUT: Schalken (and Ventura, Thomann, Kindlmann from ALT list)
IN: Vacek
NEXT: Heuberger, Zib, Okun, Luczak, Levy, Baccanello, van Lottum, Vanek, Pescosolido, Bracciali ..

OUT: Verkerk

NEXT: Mutis, Gasquet, Falla, Lopez, Almagro, Blanco, Thomann, Kindlmann, Vacek

Hi guys, great site ;)

Did i understand it correctly, Roko Karanusic wont be playing none of the qualifying events of these 3 tournaments ??

also, is it possible to see the whole qualifying lists not just the next in main draw for these tournaments,

help is greatly appreciated !

i don't think there is a qualifying list, you have to show up to sign in for qualies ... so if Roko Karanusic shows up and he makes the cutt, he'll be in the Qdraw

a few bigger events have a qualifying list , for instance the US Open

i am guessing that popp must be injured or can't afford the travel fair, becuase he keeps on pulling out of tournaments. Does anybody out there know why Karlovic has withdrew. Do you like have to give a reason or do you just ring in and say that you don't want to play?

hi again the guy who knows everything on this forum, you are the greatest :HeadBang:, could you tell me if Dick Norman or Kevin Sorenson are on any of the alt lists. I know Kev sorenson is low in the rankings, but he has shot up to 511 which is well good, he should be on some of the challengers at least, k thanks bye.

Karlovic has a foot/ankle injury. I think Popp is nursing an injury too. I'll see if I can find that info.
