That's what is even more amazing to me.....there are numerous websites displaying pic's of American players,however the USTA and ATP dont take the time or effort to "right click/Properties/Copy" one of these pic's and use it in their Player Bio's.

I've even mailed the USTA a pic and asked them to use it,but I got no response from them,not even a return mail.

Oh well,at least I know what every square inch of Roddick's and Agassi's faces look like.

I'll send you a pic ASAP. Seriously though, there's a photos page on Alex's website and one of the pics is his latest media guide photo taken in May. This website isn't done by some entity...it's done by a family member of his and she updates it as often as she can.

OK, so as of 11 am this morning, the US Open entry list became irrelevant.

Last one OUT: Schalken
Last one IN: Elsner

Muller, Gimelstob, etc are in the qualies. From now on, any withdrawl from the main draw list will turn into extra spots for lucky losers (highest ranked losers of the final round of qualies). I suspect there will be at least a couple of such spots.

Things are looking interesting in the Qualies.
Seeds No 1/2/7/11/14/10/12 are out......so lucky loser spots are going to be great fun.
Even the No 15 seed has a good LL chance.....he might need it. ......hopefully not.

According to the US Open website, Blake withdrew today because of illness. A shame for Muller, he had a great run at Washington and was the next one in on the main draw. It looks like he lost a tight one in the 1st round of qualies, so thats ashame.

there certainly is a chance that Tipsarevic could get a LL-spot.
So far, 8 matches have finished from the third qualifying round.
The 8 losers so far are :

So if seeds 1-8 do not lose in qualifying round 3, Tipsarevic will get the first lucky-loser-spot.

UM....if I consider him/her to be the better one on the court...yes. Sorry but I don't root for someone based on their nationality or because their from my city . Crazy as it sounds I root for who I think plays the better game . No matter where they may come from!!

I thought that and checked. Every qualifier that got in was in the MD. I just read that Escude WD so he could be one of them. There's a possibility of Costa WD so Glenn still has a chance. Don't give up hope

Yes, it was Escude who withdrew. I went over the draw line by line last night and compared it to the one posted on Steve's site, which hadn't been updated. CD, Tennis-x.com posted today that Costa's knee is hurting and he pulled from his doubles match in Long Island to give it some rest. Now, I'm going back to disregarding unsigned posts, especially the rude, ignorant ones...

I have to write something about them on the site, but I lack information. I was wondering maybe you could help me. Also, is that true that Jenkins plays double-handed forhand?? And what about backhand?

Jenkins has a one handed forehand and two handed backhand and plays Roddick tonight in the singles. Jenkins is the #6 junior in the world, Kuznetsov is the #4 and the French Open juniors runner up. Should be a good match. Are either one of those Polish guys in the singles?

Tursunov is a sure a tough guy.
He wins a match in five sets whilst carrying a back injury,I'd like to see what he can do when he's really fit.

I think Alex will beat Koubek easily,no problem.

I think Younes El Aynaoui and Irakli Labadze took the USTA for a ride.
I'm not convinced they wern't carrying injuries BEFORE they arrived in New York.........they took the 1st round money and ran. .....not a nice thing to do.

If you want to direct your anger at someone, try Ljubicic. He broke a rib last Thursday and didn't tell anyone, took an injection and tried to play with it. That was foolish.

The thing with me is I dont like keeping quite,I think people are to scared to say what's on their minds in the Pro Tennis World,and that's why things just remain the same,nothing changes.

Irakli Labadze retires after 3 games of the singles,and then takes his place on the Doubles court....unbelievable is all I can say.

Thanks a lot for the info. Well, I guess they have wrong information on the ITF site (I mean the double-handed forhand thing). Fyrstenberg and Matkowski suck at singles They play quallies from time to time but they really suck. It's hard for me to admit, but I've got to be honest They are doing great in doubles, though, so I'm proud of them, 'cos in Poland becoming a good player is as hard as preventing the second world war :/ Unfortunately, they are not in their best shape lately, especially mentally Hopefully they'll do their best in NY.
