Auckland -- Beck (and N.Pantti from ALT) OUT; Bracciali IN

So, there was no change from what I posted yesterday. This was the final list before the qualifying draws were made at Sydney and Auckland this evening (links above).

None of the 4 SE spots cleared. So, Montanes, the NEXT-IN at Auckland, and Tursunov and Bjorkman, the two NEXT-INs at Sydney are waiting for the SE spots to clear for themselves to make the draw - because those three did not sign in for qualies this evening. #3 ALT Seppi is the top seed at Sydney Q and #2 ALT Mayer is the top seed at Auckland.

None of the semifinalists at Doha or Adelaide qualifies for SE spots (either in the main draw list already or their rankings were high enough to have made the cuts) ..

Need to wait and see who wins the Chennai QFs. So far Vliegen has upset Srichaphan and looks to have earned an SE spot. Not sure where he will decide to go - Sydney or Auckland.

Minar and Hernych would hope for some withdrawl and not to have to play qualies at Auckland tomorrow.

Sorry that I do not have a weblink for this, but a friend of mine who is at the tournament in Sydney has just phoned me to say that Thomas Johnasson is out of the Main Draw there and will be replaced by Juan Mónaco (LL). He does not know the nature of Johansson's illness or injury - sorry.

That´s right Rosie. He was already injured during his matches in the Hopman Cup. I was surprised he didn´t pull out earlier and let Bjorkman play in Sydney instead. His doctor has said that operation is needed and then it would put him out of competition for six months. Thomas didn´t want that and has played with painkillers instead. It´s a mystic infection with a swelling in his right foot and also a skininfection.

Yes you´re right, the injury that put him out of Sydney is because of a sore shoulder but the painkillers he had last week in the Hopman Cup was for his right foot, apparently injuries all over his body

No worries for the AO though!
