I am a fan of russian tennis players and was wondering what has happened to Andrei Cherkasov. I realize that he is now 35 and the end is near if not already there. But I know he was still fighting in the futures and even some satellite events to try to regain the form that had him in the top 100 for several years. He has only played once this year, that being a first round qualies exit in Umag. I have noticed that he was entered in several events earlier in the year but hasent competed. I was hoping for a return to the Kremlin Cup for which he is a two time champ, but was not granted a wild card. Can anyone give any information on whether he has retired for good or is just currently injured or possibly going to play anymore this year.
