PinExt Andy Murrays Funny Twitter Messages During French Open

Andy Murray may be missing out of this month’s French Open due to injury, but that doesn’t mean he is completely absent when it comes to tennis. The UK No.1 has at least been keeping his fingers limber as he furiously types away on his official Twitter account. Known for taking long breaks from social media, Murray is making up for lost time with some rather clever and pointed thoughts about the sport.

After announcing his withdrawal from Paris before the draw was made, Murray then posted this thoughtful message showing how much he wished he could be playing on the terre battue.

But Murray being a tennis fan couldn’t keep from watching the event from home. After a quick hit on the grass at Wimbledon, Murray took in some women’s tennis to start off the opening day at Roland Garros. The match in particular being the dramatic three set first round battle between Venus Williams and Urszula Radwanska. Murray complimented the younger Radwanska sister about her lobbing skills.

He then let us know he thought the chair umpire for the match was just as world class as the competitors.

Murray then turned his attention back to the guys and one Frenchman in particular. Like many, Murray was impressed by Gael Monfils and his remarkable upset win over Tomas Berdych.

Murray even wanted us to check out some of Monfils’ dance moves.

Just like the rest of us, Murray has been watching the action in Paris from his telly. But he had some choice words for the commentators over at Eurosport as they tried to discuss, or not, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

But soon enough, Murray was back focusing on Monfils again. This time during his second round win against Ernests Gulbis. Murray may have not only let us know who is rooting for this fortnight but also created an unofficial short nickname about the tournament.

The U.S. Open champion sent out some brotherly love and support to Jamie Murray who is competing in the men’s doubles with Aussie John Peers. Although Jamie probably doesn’t like me referred to as ‘el noobler’.

While recovering from his injury, Murray clearly has had a lot of time on his hands to peruse the Internet and the greatest time waster of them all – You Tube. Perhaps that’s why he decide to share this strange video he found.

Is Murray making a statement about goats in general? Or perhaps it’s a very loud reference to the ongoing debate in tennis on who is the ‘GOAT’. We will probably never know.

Murray will be back at soon enough during the grass court season. But as you watch things unfold in Paris, be sure to check out Twitter since it is likely Murray won’t keep quiet for long.
