Milos Raonic has a great opportunity to advance to the semi finals at Indian Wells, facing lucky loser Miomir Kecmanovic for a spot in the last four. No one would have predicted Kecmanovic would be the final Serbian left in the draw but an early Djokovic exit has given just that. Check out the Raonic vs Kecmanovic H2H stats.
“At this point anything is possible. I mean, I lost a week ago and I’m still here. So I just hope to keep playing like this and we’ll see.” He said. He has been in great form this week, taking advantage of Kevin Anderson’s withdrawal in some style. It has been a kind draw for the youngster, playing just one seed in the rising Laslo Djere.
Raonic could have had a much tougher draw too but managed to avoid both Alex de Minaur and Alexander Zverev on his way to the quarter finals. He beat Zverev’s opponent Jan-Lennard Struff in fairly routine style, breaking once in each set for a 6-4 6-3 win.
Raonic has played once before against Kecmanovic, beating him in Brisbane at the start of this season. Even in confident form, there should be too much of a class gap in this one.
Prediction- Milos Raonic in straight sets
