Welsh forward Gareth Bale has been somewhat slated by Spanish media for his recent performances for Los Blancos but his simply stunning performance for his national side this week has underlined his ‘world class’ status. His inclusion on Sunday is a must if Real want to go on to win this game however that is subject to him overcoming a knock sustained against Israel this week.

Pepe has suffered an injury in his right thigh that the European Champions described as an internus muscle injury. He could be out of action for up to four weeks. However, this spell on the sidelines could be a blessing in disguise for Real Madrid with French defender Raphaël Varane, who has been linked with a move away from Spain due to a lack of playing time set to come back into the defence.

Granada midfielder Eddy Silvestre has said that his team have to “give all they can and fight until the death” to win at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend, however based on current form, a win seems unlikely with Granada only managing to get a point against newly promoted Eibar to end their long losing streak.

However important this game is to Granada, Real Madrid cannot afford to lose and with the talent they have at their disposal, they won’t.
