After easing into the second round of the tournament will little fuss, Agnieszka Radwanska will now look to secure her spot in the third round of the tournament when she steps across the court from Johanna Larsson. The two met twice previously on the professional tour, both times during Fed Cup competition. Radwanska leads the head-to-head series 2-0.

The sixth seed needed just 63 minutes to overcome Kurumi Nara 6-3, 6-0 and cruise into the second round of the tournament. It was a straightforward match for the Pole, and she only got better as the match went on.

“I think I really played well today. Maybe little bit slow start. Otherwise I think everything was working for me today. You know, very happy my game.

While Aga would not delve into details about her partnership with Navratilova, she did say that she is enjoying working with the 18-time Grand Slam champion.

“Martina is the person who won so many tournaments, so many Grand Slams. I think with her experience that help me also win a Grand Slam. I was close few times. But never win seven matches in a row. Of course, this is the goal for everyone. For me, as well. That’s why I asked her for help. We’ve been working for couple weeks now. So far is going pretty well. So, yeah.”

Radwanska’s next opponent is Johanna Larsson, who defeated Alla Kudryavtseva in straight sets to reach the second round. The Swede won 67% of her first service points, converted five break point opportunities and hit just four unforced errors to close out the match in 6-4, 6-3 in 1 hour and 28 minutes.

Considering Radwanska leads the head-to-head series 2-0, there is little to worry about with regards to her progression into the third round of the Aussie Open. The Pole appears poised and ready to make a deep run this season.

Prediction: Agnieszka Radwanska in Straight Sets
